| ABOUT FABA |
The Federation of Asian Biotechnology Associations is a non-profit registered society having its headquarters in Hyderabad with Dr.B.S.Bajaj as Secretary General, engaged in activities related to promoting biotechnology in Asian countries. |
| FABA with its beginnings in 2004 has achieved a significant landmark in creating a common platform for interaction among member countries and discuss the issues of common interests for improving the biotech space. |
| FABA has developed a strong network base in 20 Asian countries (Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey and UAE) and has cooperative arrangements with some organizations in Europe and USA. |
| FABA has been organizing Bio-Asia Conference since 2004 and this conference has become an International Brand, where delegates/ business firms from India and various countries are participating, discussing and exploring various business opportunities. |
| In 2002, the first international conference on Stem Cell was organized by the All India Biotech Association – South Chapter (part of FABA) at Hyderabad under able guidance of Dr. B S Bajaj and was received with overwhelming response. While the amount of research at that time was very primitive more that 50,000 reports over the past three years have been published on different aspects of Stem Cell Research and Therapy. With the changed scenario, FABA hopes to spur stem cell research and regenerative medicines around the world through this international conference.
|
| FABA is exempted from Income Tax under Section 12A and 80G. FABA has been organizing Bio-Asia Annual Conference since 2004 and this conference has become an International Brand, where delegates/ business Organizations from India and various countries participate to discuss and explore various business opportunities. |
